In April, New Zealand-born, New York-based singer Tamaryn announced that her new album “Cranekiss” — which sees her collaborating with the Weekend’s Shaun Durkan and producer Jorge Elbrecht — would be out Aug. 28. Today she unveiled the video for the dreamy title track, which was directed by Brian DeGraw of Gang Gang Dance. It’s a polymorpous psychedelic collage that matches the sultry shape-shifter of a song, exemplary of the new album’s use of synths and samples, a first for Tamaryn. It’s certainly the kind of tune that marries well with the visuals planned for Friday night’s Los Angeles show (see below).

In conjunction with the museum’s current exhibition on legendary rock promoter Bill Graham, the evening of music in the courtyard will also feature a live liquid light show by the Joshua Light Show.
