Los Angeles-based brother duo THRILLERS first came on the scene last summer with their single “Can’t Get Enough,” an infectious dose of funky electro R&B that could have easily come straight out of the late ’80s. In June, siblings Gregory and Jeremy Pearson released their debut EP entitled “Cotton Candy Kisses,” via TASTE Recordings, a six-track collection of nostalgic lo-fi grooves, synthy beats and timeless pop hooks that’s something like Prince meets Yazoo. Opening track “Desire” is a slinky dose of electro-funk with the brothers Pearson harmonizing throughout over a dynamite bassline, while break-up ballad closer “Lipstick On The Mirror” breaks out the tissues with lyrics like, “I’m longing for your touch, and my bed gets so cold at night / I’m lost without your love, and now my whole world, paralyzed.” THRILLERS are currently in the studio working on their debut album, as well as collaborating with sonic kinfolk such as Twin Shadow.
