Echo Park Rising adds J-Rocc, Open Mike Eagle and Screaming Females to lineup; Buzz Bands LA to host 10-band party on Saturday at Taix

Echo Park Rising, expected to draw a crowd of about 10,000 the weekend of Aug. 14-15-16, has added the likes of J-Rocc, Open Mike Eagle, Screaming Females, Kodak to Graph, Anderson .Paak, and Fantastic Negrito to a lineup that already included Hanni El Khatib, Dengue Fever, Superhumanoids, Fever The Ghost, Man or Astro-Man? and Deap Vally.

The Buzz Bands LA Stage, presented by the concert discovery app Jukely, again returns to Taix’s Champagne Room on Saturday with an eclectic 10-band lineup featuring Andy Clockwise, Air Life, Lipehmra, Golden Daze, Kid Bloom, Spectacular Spectacular, DTCV, Draemings, Mirror Talk and Laele Neal.

For 2015, EPR’s outdoor stage stage moves from the Taix parking lot to to the intersection of Liberty and Reservoir. Nearby will be craft beer gardens, vendors and food trucks. This year also features new additions, including a new outdoor stage at Blue Collar Working Dog and returning is Golden Road Brewing Beer Garden at XOIA.
