It’s New Year’s Day, but it’s also a Friday with some tasty Los Angeles concerts:
► A Place to Bury Strangers — i.e., the loudest band in New York — do the second of two nights at the Viper Room behind their latest album “Transfixiation.” Author & Punisher and SISU open.
► At the Whisky, the new year starts with L.A. Guns and Faster Pussycat.
► The Funkmosphere sees Dam-Funk, Randy Watson, Laroj, Billy Goods, Matt Respect and Eddy Funkster visiting the Echo.
► And Night Wolves play the Silverlake Lounge, supported by Geo Trip and FRIIS Band.
