Baltimore’s Lower Dens, who are currently on tour opening for Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and L.A.’s Gardens & Villa have been announced as the musical acts for the March 4 edition of First Fridays at the Natural History Museum.
Last March, Lower Dens released their third album “Escape From Evil.” Gardens & Villa’s third album, “Music for Dogs,” came out in August.
The theme for 2016’s First Fridays series, which runs through June, is “Big Screen, Bigger Science.” Leading into the music in March will be tours and a panel discussion. KCRW’s Aaron Byrd and guest Val Fleury will spin in the DJ lounge. And the museum’s exhibition halls are open late.
Tickets are $18 for non-members of the museum; it’s free with a reservation for members.
