Sunday’s Los Angeles concerts:

Brian Whelan celebrates the release of his new album “Sugarland” at the weekly Grand Ole Echo party at the Echo. As always, Grand Ole Echo is an early show (3 to 8 p.m.), and it also features Wild Roses, the World Record and Kat Myers and the Buzzards.
► San Francisco’s Geographer and U.K. quartet the Crookes (whose new album “Lucky Ones” is just out) team up for a big night at the Teragram Ballroom.
► Edgy funk-rock duo Greyhounds play the Echoplex, with Valley Queen, Sam Morrow and Solar Sons supporting.
► Creation Records shoegazers the Telescopes play the late show at the Echo, the weekly Part Time Punks night, joined by LSD & the Search For God and Honduras.
► It’s a second night of Elvis Costello at the Theatre at Ace Hotel.
► And Adam Lambert is back for another night at the Orpheum Theatre.
