► Titus Andronicus headline the Fonda Theatre in support of their latest album “The Most Lamentable Tragedy,” with La Sera opening.
► It’s the second of three nights with the Cure at the Hollywood Bowl.
► Scottish rockers Idlewild, visiting California for the first time in almost 10 years, play the Roxy Theatre in support of their new album “Everything Ever Written.” Jaguar Club opens.
► Their new album “Ocean by Ocean” just out, the Boxer Rebellion head up the lineup at It’s a School Night at Bardot, joined by Waterstrider, Alex Vargas and Irontom.
► May’s free residencies rage on: Gavin Turek at the Bootleg Theater (with Caught a Ghost and Sophie & the Bom Boms); the Soft White Sixties at the Satellite (with Only You, Jude Shuma and Andrew St. James); Drinking Flowers at the Echo (joined by Part Time, Terminal A, Second Still and Future Shoxxx); Rod Melancon at the Silverlake Lounge (with Brian Whelan, Patrolled by Radar and Sam Marine); and Vs Colour at the Hi Hat (with Hex Horizontal, the Visitors and C.O.O.P.).
► Wet & Reckless visit Harvard & Stone, joined by Plum and Night Owl.
► And at Resident, it’s Moaning, No Win and Post Life.
