Thursday’s Los Angeles concerts:

► Thao & the Get Down Stay Down, whose fifth album “A Man Alive” came out in March, kick off the Skirball Center’s free Sunset Concerts series. Doors at 7 p.m.
► Psychedelic Furs and Day Wave play Week 3 of the free Twilight Concerts series at the Santa Monica Pier. Early arrival recommended.
► Ceci Bastida and Mark Redito perform at “Disappeaer Here,” the free Thursday night music series at the Hammer Museum, with KCRW DJ Anthony Valadez presiding. The festivities begin at 6:30 p.m.
► Hayes Carll headlines the Teragram Ballroom behind his latest album “Lovers and Leavers.”
► Banks and Steelz — Interpol’s Paul Banks and Wu-Tang’s RZA — play the Roxy Theatre. Their album “Anything But Words” arrives Aug. 26.
► And Milwaukee indie-rock veterans Hey Mercedes — re-formed to celebrate the 15th-anniversary re-release of their album “Everynight Fire Works” — play the Troubadour, supported by the Velvet Teen.
