Wednesday’s Los Angeles concerts:

► “Empress of Soul” Gladys Knight, along with Tower of Power, hold forth at the Hollywood Bowl.
► Dear Boy celebrate the release of their new EP, “Parts of a Flower,” with a show at the Roxy, with FEELS and the Paranoyds opening.
► U.K. rockers the Wombats bring their North American tour in support of their album “Glitterbug” to the Fonda Theatre, where Coast Modern opens.
► Marissa Nadler plays the Echo behind her new album “Strangers,” her seventh, with Wrekmeister Harmonies and Muscle & Marrow supporting.
► It’s the last of three nights with Allen Stone and Jessica Childress at the Troubadour.
► And the Hotel Café is loaded tonight: The Explorers Club and Fernando Perdomo play the late set in the main room, where Keith Slettedahl (The 88) plays earlier. And Eef Barzelay (Clem Snide) plays the early set on the Second Stage.
