While Gregory Alan Isakov was dispensing the sweet folk music from his new collaborative album with a symphony orchestra, the bar at the Fonda Theatre on Friday night was serving a cocktail called “The Titanium Isakov.” Delicious. Isakov’s new album is titled “Gregory Alan Isakov With the Colorado Symphony” — reinterpretations of Isakov favorites — and standing in for the latter on his current tour is Colorado’s Ghost Orchestra. While Isakov played it cool and mostly let the music speak for itself, opener Langhorne Slim found time to chat with the crowd, making jokes and wisecracking that nobody told the photographers his right side was his good side. Langhorne later came out to join Isakov at the end of the set, and again in the encore on “All Shades of Blue” (during which he sang lyrics from a crumpled up piece of paper).
