AWOLNATION closed out their “Here Come the Runts” tour in epic fashion on Friday night, the second of two sold-out shows at the Wiltern. While the first night brought guests such as Rivers Cuomo and Duff McKagan, the second night imagined the Wiltern as an arena, with big sing-alongs to songs such as “Kill Your Heroes,” “Handyman” and “Burn It Down.”
L.A. rockers Irontom kicked off the night, followed by an equally rousing set from London’s Nothing But Thieves, before AWOLNATION took to a stage decorated in overlapping rugs, a wood panel backdrop and a host of potted plants.
AWOLNATION announced today that Part 2 of the “Here Come the Runts” tour would kick off in May; there are no southern California dates on that leg.
Setlist: Here Come The Runts, Hollow Moon (Bad Wolf), Seven Sticks of Dynamite, Passion, Kill Your Heroes, Soul Wars, Table For One, Miracle Man, Not Your Fault, The Buffoon, Handyman, Stop That Train. Encore: Run, Burn It Down, Sail
