Kid Bloom

Where last September’s “A Long Kiss Goodbye” EP had a ’70s groovy pop piquancy, Kid Bloom‘s new single “Parents House” steps out of the disco into the blaring sun with an upbeat pool-party pop song about hooking up with a school crush when her parents aren’t home. Fuzzed-up but tidy guitar chords propel the song as the keyboard line wakes up from its hangover and saunters in all perky. Since forming in 2015, Lennon Kloser, Blake Morell, Clayton Sewelson, and Zach Tabori continue exploring various tangents of dancey guitar-laden pop, hitting the high vocal harmonies like bad boys with pretty smiles as they pursue their favorite subject: girls.
