Above: It’s the busiest week of the year, according to our careful but unscientific estimates, and frankly here at Buzz Bands LA HQ, we’re not sure what we would pick if we were cornered and asked to choose just one thing. The weekend brings huge festivals (the star-studded lineups at Ohana Fest in southern Orange County and Music Tastes Good in Long Beach), free neighborhood festivals (Abbot Kinney Festival, Chinatown Moon Festival and Tastes & Sounds in Pasadena), niche festivals (Cold Waves VII) and the massive L.A. Philharmonic Open Streets Festival, which covers eight miles, give or take. If you’re not in a festival frame of mind, Geographer, recently relocated from the Bay Area to L.A., is headlining the Lodge Room on Friday night. There’s new Geographer music on the horizon — stream a couple of new singles here — and opening the show is Clara-Nova, with whom Geographer has collaborated on a new single that is also coming out this week.
