Rounding out their North American tour, FIDLAR finally made it back home to Los Angeles, playing another rowdy show at the Hollywood Palladium. The skate-punk quartet comprised of singer-guitarist Zac Carper, guitarist Elvis Kuehn, drummer Max Kuehn and bassist Brandon Schwartzel cruised through a lengthy set of songs from their catalog — including a few songs from their third album “Almost Free,” which is set to be released on Jan. 25.

Despite the show being undersold, the crowd that did show up went just as hard as any other FIDLAR crowd. Huge mosh pits that encompassed the entire GA pit, nonstop crowd surfing that was encouraged by Carper, and the usual flinging of objects in the air and onstage (beer, clothing, shoes, etc.). Before playing the minute-long song “5 to 9” from their first record, Carper asked the crowd to split themselves down the middle, forming a large space in the pit. Before starting the song, he stated that only girls could mosh in that space, which received approving applause from the young crowd. He said he was instituting “no dick on the dancefloor.”

The show was opened by local punk band The Side Eyes, and then Toronto based Dilly Dally, both of whom toured with FIDLAR throughout North America during their tour.
