All that glittered was gold. Australian psych-rockers Pond played a long set to an adoring crowd Tuesday night at the Regent Theater, emerging from a huge cloud of smoke to start the set with frontman Nick Allbrook adorned with so much glitter that fans in the back of the room wondered if he was sweating profusely. Allbrook moved throughout the stage constantly, occasionally holding hands with fans in the front row and, for a few moments, crowd-surfing. With their close association with fellow Aussies Tame Impala, it was fun to see Cameron Avery out in the crowd dancing and knowing the beats of the songs by heart.

Peach Kelli Pop opened the night with a short set of 30 minutes but was able to pack the setlist with over ten short, punkish songs.

Set List: 30,000 Megatons, Sweep Me Off My Feet, Sixteen Days, Waiting Around for Grace, Whatever Happened to the Million Head Collide/ Alpha Beta Gaga (Air Cover), Fire in the Water, Zen Automation, Don’t Look At the Sun Or You’ll Go Blind, Burnt Out Star, Giant Turtoise/Eye Pattern Blindness, Jive Talkin’/ Paint Me Silver (Bee Gees Cover), The Weather. Encore: Midnight Mass (At The Market St. Payphone), Man It Feels Like Space Again.
