Sofia Bolt is the nom de tune of L.A.-based Frenchwoman Amélie Rousseaux, who forsook Paris for Southern California last year. The spine-stiffening bite of her new single “Get Out of My Head” gives you a taste of both what she left behind and what she’s found — she’s talking an ex-flame, and, by extension, herself, commanding that memory to be gone.

Bolt’s album “Waves,” her first full-length after releasing EPs in 2013 and ’15, will be out next year, boasting an estimable list of collaborators, not the least of which are the legendary Van Dyke Parks (who did the arrangements) and producer Itai Shapira (who was Grammy-nominated for his engineering work on Thomas Dybdahl’s 2013 album). She’s joined on this song by Emily Elhaj (Angel Olsen’s bassist), Marian Lipino (of La Luz) and Bryant Fox (of Miya Folick).

Via director Ryan Daniel Browne’s video, let Sofia Bolt get into your head below.
