Drip Lines

Biding his time over the last four years working on the followup to his debut EP, “Evolution of Love,” while attending law school, L.A.-via-Colorado musician (and electrical engineer) Jake O’Neal, aka Drip Lines, has released the first of four planned EP releases. Titled “Griffith,” the first EP is a dreamy sampling of bedroom indie-pop that swims in vocal layers and bright textures ranging from synths and bass to acoustic guitar. Whereas the first track, “Nocturnes,” alternately submerges and emerges from a wild ocean current, the second track, “Mad Men,” is a skinny dip in a freshwater lake by a secluded waterfall. The title track, “Griffith,” is a celestial dance in a desert night sky. And the final track, “Vibe,” is the meditative flow of a long meandering river with impressions of affections along its banks. Stream it here in its entirety.
