L.A. concerts for Wednesday:

► The late Chris Cornell is saluted at I Am the Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell, which features members of Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog with performances by Foo Fighters, Metallica, Ryan Adams, Fiona Apple, Josh Homme and the Melvin, at the Forum.
► Peter Murphy kicks off the Ruby Tour, which celebrates 40 years of Bauhaus, at the City National Grove of Anaheim. With David J on bass, they will perform their debut album “In the Flat Field” and other Bauhaus selections.
► Mae rock the El Rey Theatre, with Matthew Thiessen and the Active Set opening.
► Canadian indie-rockers Mother Mother play the Moroccan Lounge behind their latest album, “Dance and Cry,” with Winnetka Bowling League supporting.
► And Ariel Beesley headlines the Satellite, joined by Moderns, Xuan and Korinne Quillin.
