Shannon Shaw (of Shannon and the Clams fame) and L.A. trio Pinky Pinky will perform March 1 at the Natural History Museum as its First Fridays programming kicks into gear for the 2019 season.

This year’s theme is “Forces of Nature,” which explores California’s natural disasters.

The popular series, during which the museum is open late, also features conversations, panel discussions, tours and DJ sets. On March 1, “Ologies” podcast host Alie Ward will talk to museum research specialists about their collections; Patt Morrison will moderate a panel on fires, “The Flames in Our Future;”  and Novena Carmel and Aaron Byrd will do DJ sets, all leading up to the live sets in the North American Hall of Mammals.

Tickets for non-members are $20 and available here.
