► New Zealand rockers the Chills (see LA Record’s interview) — on their first U.S. tour in 23 years — headline the Regent Theater, with Cotillon and Fawns of Love opening.
► Rap-spoul fusionists the Midnight Hour (Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge, with a full band) visit the Lodge Room on a big night that also features Black Thought, Estelle, Gallant, Georgia Anne Muldrow and more.
► Toni Braxton and Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds team up for a night at the Microsoft Theater.
► And 19-year-old rapper Trippie Redd headlines the Novo, joined by Lil Keed, Col Leroy and Lil Duke.
