► Eighty-three-year-old fiddling legend Doug “The Ragin’ Cajun” Kershaw and honky-tonk stalwart Dale Watson are among the highlights at Roots Roadhouse 2019 at the Echo and Echoplex. The stacked lineup also includes Amigo the Devil, Sam Morrow, Alice Wallace, Albert & His Dreamboats, James Intveld, Cedric Burnside and more, and the festivities kick off at 3 p.m.
► Tuareg guitar legend Bombino plays the second of two nights at Zebulon in support of his latest album, “Deran.”
► Vince Staples does the second of two nights at the Novo, with JPEGMAFIA supporting.
► Italian shoegazers New Candys play the late-starting Part Time Punks night at the Echo, with Be Forest, Slow Crush and Holy Fawn opening.
► The sCUM three-year anniversary show, headlined by Hunx & His Punx, goes off at the sold-out Regent Theater, where Cremalleras, Trap Girl and more join the fun.
► And Australian singer-songwriter Kelsy Karter plays an early show at the Moroccan Lounge, with the Cabana Brothers opening.
