Mt. Joy brought a night of warmth and introspection to a most harmonious Friday night crowd at the Teragram Ballroom. Spinning their soulful thread through a 13-song set in support of their 2018 self-titled debut. Everyone in the audience surely had been doing their homework as there wasn’t a single person in attendance that couldn’t shout back the lyrics, word for word. You could tell it was working, with lead singer Matt Quinn having to excuse himself to face drummer Sotiris Eliopoulos in order to keep from grinning. Guitarist Sam Cooper’s extended guitar runs electrified and kept the crowd on their toes.

Wilderado opened the night with booming indie-rock with their signature twist of country, just enough to get your feet stomping to the beat.

Mt. Joy today announced a new L.A. show, Nov. 8 at the Wiltern.
