Four months after releasing their third album “Stuffed & Ready,” L.A. rockers Cherry Glazerr kicked off the 2019 edition of FIGFest to a crowd that was very ready for some indie rock.

The free, all-ages concert series features three more Friday nights of shows at the plaza atop the FIGat7th retail center in downtown Los Angeles.

Cherry Glazerr’s Clementine Creevy, joined by Tabor Allen on drums and Livvy Bennet on bass, brought a lengthy set to a packed crowd who was yearning for a raucous show to kick off the summer. Much to the chagrin of the very serious security crew, the moshing and crowd-surfing got started quickly and lasted throughout Cherry Glazerr’s set and into the single-song encore.

L.A. quartet Liily brought the heavy early, pounding out their tunes towards equally energetic early arrivals who got thrashing about as soon as possible. Putting their literal blood (see final photo in gallery) and sweat into their set, Liily brought their A-game with songs from their new EP “I Can Fool Anybody in This Town.”
