► It’s Night 1 of the Hollywood Bowl’s July 4th Fireworks Spectacular with Nile Rodgers & CHIC joined by the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
► Jim James and the Claypool Lennon Delirium bring their co-headlining tour to the House of Blues Anaheim.
► Athens, Ga., quintet Futurebirds bring their “Howlin’ Summer Tour” to the Moroccan Lounge, where Zeb Zaitz opens.
► British saxophonist-composer Nubya Garcia holds forth at the Lodge Room.
► NYC folk-pop artist Julia Nunes has a new EP titled “UGHWOW,” and she’ll play songs from it at the Hi Hat, with Lauren O’Connell supporting.
► Philly punk rockers Sheer Mag visit Zebulon in support of their new album “A Distant Call,” with the Spits, Die Group and Public Eye supporting.
► Natalie Nicoles, the singer-keyboardist of the indie-rock band Branches, plays the Bootleg Theater to celebrate her solo EP, “Albion,” with BELLSAINT supporting.
► Holy Wars and Sam Fischer highlight the lineup at the free showcase at Madame Siam, along with Christine Castle and Fever Joy.
