► The final night of the July 4th Fireworks Spectacular with Nile Rodgers & CHIC (along with the Los Angeles Philharmonic) goes off at the Hollywood Bowl.
► The 4th of July Block Party staged by Grand Park and the Music Center features Boogaloo Assassins, Victoria La Mala, Earth Arrow, the Delirians, Blaq Pages, the South Soul Spinners and more. It starts at 3 p.m. and finishes with a fireworks show from the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
► And Black Nile, the jazz outfit led by brothers Aaron and Lawrence Shaw, play the free concert series at Levitt Pavilion MacArthur Park, along with Benedek and Linafornia.
