L.A. concerts for Friday:

► It’s George Clinton’s farewell tour, and this night on his One Nation Under a Groove Tour is called “Gettin’ Down Just for the Funk of It” — George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic hold forth at the Greek Theatre, joined by Fushbone, Dumpstaphunk and Miss Velvet & the Blue Wolf.
The Bird and the Bee play the Ford Amphitheatre behind today’s release of their new album “Interpreting the Masters, Volume 2 (A Tribute to Van Halen).”
► Scott McCaughey — back from a stroke he suffered in November 2017 — and the Minus 5 play the Bootleg Theater. The Minus 5’s new album is titled “Stroke Manor,” a chronicle of his recovery. Whispertown opens tonight’s show.
Alison Sudol (A Fine Frenzy) today releases “Moonlite,” the second EP she has issued under her own name. She plays an early show (doors 7 p.m.) at the Moroccan Lounge.
Cayucas play a hometown show at the Roxy behind their new album “Real Life,” with Skyway Man and Mmmonika supporting.
Ty Segall & Freedom Band continue their Friday night residency with a sold-out show at the Teragram Ballroom.
Dream Machines bring the party to the Troubadour, where Ariel Beesley, Tolliver and Maxim Ludwig open.
► And Detroit post-rock sextet Bars of Gold visit the Hi Hat in support of their new album “Shelters,” with the Manx and Fime supporting.
