The Coathangers added to Happy Sundays fest on Aug. 25 in Long Beach

The Coathangers, whose new album, “The Devil You Know” came out in April, will headline the Happy Sundays festival on Aug. 25 in Long Beach, it was announced today.

Also added to the lineup for the free, multi-venue event in the Zaferia District of LBC were the Molochs, Jordan Jones, Suburban John (members of Suburban Lawns) and TJ Ridings. They joined an already-announced roster of artists such as Prettiest Eyes, Tropa Magica, Sunny War, White Woods, Billy Changer, Neil Hamburger, Nick Thune, Triptides and the Start.

The festival, featuring more than 30 artists in all, will take place at Alex’s Bar, Analog Records, Ashtanga Yoga, Bamboo Club, DiPiazza’s, Iguana Kelley’s, the Long Beach Playhouse and Red Leprechaun (see map).
