Ty Segall & Freedom Band continue their 10-Friday residency (it’s Week 6) at the Teragram Ballroom, tonight performing the new album “First Taste” and 2016’s “Emotional Mugger.” Lamps open.
► Vancouver, Canada trio the Courtneys — the first non-New Zealand band signed to that nation’s legendary Flying Nun Records — team up with L.A.’s Ian Sweet for a show at the Bootleg Theater. Julius Smack and Jonny Kosmo support.
Candlebox performs their 1993 self-titled debut album, along with other favorites, at the El Rey Theatre, with AEGES and State to State supporting.
► Japanese post-rock band Toe holds forth at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever.
Facial celebrate the release of their new single “Don’t Take the Fremont Bridge” with a show at the Factory in downtown L.A. Daisy and Neza Alexander join in.
