► Hot Chip hold forth at the Shrine Expo Hall in support of their new album “A Bath Full of Ecstasy,” with Holy Fuck opening the night.
► U.K. trio Friendly Fires, back from an eight-year hiatus in a big way with the new album “Inflorescent,” headline the Fonda Theatre. Get there early for De Lux.
► Golden Daze headlines the Lodge Room in support of their latest album “Simpatico,” with Itasca and Sam Burton supporting.
► Pokey LaFarge swings in to the Pico Union Project.
► Deadmau5 does the third of five sold-out nights at the Hollywood Palladiumn, with Lights, I_O and Eddie supporting.
► Ty Segall & Freedom Band wind up their 10-Friday night residency at the Teragram Ballroom, performing the albums “First Taste” and “Manipulator.” DMBQ opens.
► Day 1 of the Ohana Festival, brings the Strokes, Tash Sultana, LP, Devendra Banhart, White Reaper, Sunflower Bean, Dustin Kensrue, Jesse Jo Stark, L.A. Witch, Fontaines D.C. and more to Doheny State Beach. [Set times here.]
► It’s Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck at the Hollywood Bowl.
► Ibiza-born, Antigua-raised alt-pop singer Au/Ra headlines the Hi Hat, with Dylan Dunlap supporting.
