Ms. Lauryn Hill holds forth at the Hollywood Bowl, joined by H.E.R.
City & Colour headline the Theatre at Ace Hotel in support of their new album “A Pill for Loneliness.”
► Two songwriters with new albums — Jesse Malin (“Sunset Kids,” his eighth) and Joseph Arthur (“Come Back World,” his 14th solo effort) — team up for a night at the Roxy, with Trapper Schoepp opening.
► Western Canadian psych-folk trio Loving make their Los Angeles debut at the Highland Park Ebell Club.
► With his short film “86’d” just out and more new work coming in the new year, Neon Indian headlines the Teragram Ballroom, with Chaos Chaos and Blackpaw opening.
► Ohio folk trio CAAMP headlines the Fonda Theatre in support of their album “By and By,” with the Ballroom Thieves opening.
► Country star Tanya Tucker does the first of two sold-out nights at the Troubadour in support of her new album “While I’m Livin’,” her 25th full-length. Reverie Lane opens.
