Join me at 9 tonight on The Independent 88.5 FM for a special edition of the L.A. Buzz Bands Show — it’s our Fall Fund Drive, and in between some great music from L.A. artists, I’ll be filling you in on the benefits of becoming an 88.5 contributing member. Among them, of course, is showing your support for truly independent radio, coming to you 24/7 with a playlist broader than you will find anywhere else on your radio dial. Visit The Independent 88.5 FM for details on the many incentives for becoming a contributing member: the Maui Getaway sweepstakes, the many drawings for weekends at prominent SoCal hotels, free concert tickets, free CD packs and coupons toward dinners at many fine L.A. restaurants.
In addition, the L.A. Buzz Bands Show will have a special giveaway tonight for Mikal Cronin — a pair of tickets for his album-release show Friday night at the Teragram Ballroom, plus a vinyl copy of his new album “Seeker.” Tune in early in the 9 o’clock hour for details.
And there still will be time for a heaping helping of new L.A. music. Tonight’s show features the likes of Cartalk, Ruby Friedman, Talker, Thom Sawyr, Bishop Briggs, Night Dreamer, Oliver Riot, Blackpaw, Poppy Jean Crawford and more.
