“Me in 20 Years,” the latest heartstring-tugger single from Moses Sumney, is neither a hymn nor a dirge to the future. Instead, it’s a lament for the present, as the singer-songwriter mourns, in his aching falsetto, “the cavity” in his life and “being trapped in an endless January.” He wonders if it will be that way 20 years on.

The song, co-produced Sumney, Daniel Lopation (of Oneohtrix Point Never) and Matt Otto, is from Part 2 of the artist’s forthcoming double-LP “Græ,” arrived from Jagjaguwar Records in two parts: the digital first installment in February and the second (as well as the physical released) on May 15.

As on the previously released tracks “Virile” and “Polly,” Sumney continues to set himself apart.
