Ider: Thursday at the Moroccan Lounge

North London duo Ider (which we think is English slang for “really angsty”) hits the States behind their debut album “Emotional Education.” Allday opens Thursday’s show at the Moroccan. Tickets.

Magic Bronson: Friday at the Satellite

The Silver Lake venue is stacked all week with Satellite Nights (co-presented by Buzz Bands LA) — five days of free shows starting with WASI’s residency tonight, followed by headliners My Double, My Brother; Model Child and the Haunts, all with strong supporting casts. Then on Friday, charismatic party guys Magic Bronson take over, showing what they’ve been working on since “Evil Plans.” Wax Charmer, Bandie and Twin Oaks make Friday even better. Did we mention it’s free?

Wand: Thursday and Friday at the Echo

Ever been so frustrated/tickled by an album you just chuckle, throw your hands up and shout, “Sure, bring it on, give me more!” That’s how we felt about the full-of-left-turns “Laughing Matter,” the 2019 album from L.A. psych-rockers Wand.  It was their fourth album (plus an EP) in the past four years, so they will have lots of material to choose from when they play two-set shows at the Echo on Thursday (tickets) and Friday (tickets).

The Tissues: Thursday at Zebulon

Make your Thursday a raging, confrontational Thursday by checking out punk quartet the Tissues’ release show for their new album “Blue Film.” Chernobyl, R Clown and Fucked Forever shred in support. Punk rock lives. And it’s free.
