We’ve made it “Sunday Funday.” In today’s edition of our interview/artist playlist series QUARANTUNES, Andy Frasco — the man whose live shows are known to drastically increase room temperature — talks about cooking, staying creative and dancing in your underwear. He certainly has the playlist for it.

THE LATEST FROM ANDY FRASCO

Andy Frasco is the chief party animal in the beast known as Andy Frasco & the U.N., currently the band most likely to leave you in need of a shower after their pandemonious live shows. Frasco and crew have tried to bottle some of that energy on the album “Keep On Keepin’ On,” due April 24 via SideOneDummy Records. Frasco’s are the sounds of classic rock and roots music, dialed up to 11 on the feel-good meter. Even before this crisis, people were struggling with loneliness and depression, he points out. “When you’re struggling in the moment, it can feel like you’re the only one, but that’s just not the truth,” Frasco says. “I wanted to make a record to remind you that you’re not alone.” Here are “Feel It in Your Bones,” “None of Those Things” and the title track:

HOW ARE YOU HOLDING UP AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MANAGE THE ‘STAY AT HOME’ EDICT?

Andy Frasco: It’s amazing how great you can feel when you stop watching the news 24 hours a day. Just trying to stay creative … I’ve been learning how to use iMovie so I can make quarantine shorts with myself. It’s pretty fun. I also got an air fryer, which is dope. Never knew how good of a cook I am. Granted, the air fryer is doing all the work. I feel like a G when I go on that quarantine date night with myself now.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO WHEN THIS IS OVER?

Andy Frasco: It’s gonna be nice to not eat frozen food for awhile.

ANYTHING WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS PLAYLIST?

Andy Frasco: I promise you that dancing to these songs in your underwear cures the ’Rona Blues.
