A holiday weekend seemed like a good time to do this:

Join me at 9 tonight on The Independent 88.5 FM for a “Ten Years After” edition of the L.A. Buzz Bands Show as we flash back to 2010. I’ll have an hour’s worth of music that is just the tip of the iceberg of what came out that year — both from artists who are still with us and bands who are no longer around.

In the former category: Aloe Blacc, Warpaint, Young the Giant, Foster the People, Delta Spirit, Fitz & the Trantrums, Apex Manor and White Sea. (And maybe we should include Everest in that group, because word is that they are cooking up their first new music since 2012.) In the latter category, we’ll hear from Casxio, Voxhaul Broadcast, Shadow Shadow Shade, the Henry Clay People, A House for Lions, the Like and, in honor of the late Josh Schwartz, Painted Hills.

If you’re out of FM range, click here to stream the show at 9. We regret only that this show couldn’t be at least three hours long.

Fitz & the Tantrums, “Pickin’ Up the Pieces”
Casxio, “Seventeen”
Aloe Blacc, “I Need a Dollar”
