■ Jessie Payo (of Pom Poms and Pretty Polly), accompanied by guitarist Brett Farkas, recorded this new single (“to be released in the not so far away future,” she writes) for a series called Single Shot. Good vibes here.

■ Last week, we noted the arrival of “Fitz and The Tantrums: Live In Chicago,” a live album to be released in October. Since it’s the 10-year anniversary of the band’s debut album “Pickin’ Up the Pieces,” here’s one more archival nugget, recorded live by Spaceland Recordings at Spaceland.
