Outside Lands re-brands as Inside Lands for online fest Aug. 28-29

Coming soon to the screen of an electronic device near you: Inside Lands, the 2020 answer to the popular San Francisco festival Outside Lands.

The two-day virtual festival, Aug. 28-29, will stream free via Twitch.TV.

Outside Lands, which already has big plans for 2021 (Tame Impala, Lizzo, The Strokes and Vampire Weekend are among the artists slated to play next Aug. 6-8), will mix things up for this year’s online affair.

The stream will feature iconic archival sets, exclusive live performances, artist interviews, plus features with the curators, producers, fans, small businesses and the festival community. Among the artists confirmed for Inside Lands performances are Gorillaz, LCD Soundsystem, J. Cole, Jack White, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Above & Beyond, Haim, Major Lazer, Leon Bridges, Louis the Child, Alt-J and Cage The Elephant, as well as artists that are on the 2021 bill, including Kehlani, ZHU, Beach House, Brittany Howard, SOFI TUKKER and Sharon Van Etten.
