Songs that are in our mix and vying for yours, transmitted to you in a batch of five:

ALOE BLACC, “Hold On Tight”

■ On the heels of his inspiration single “My Way,” Aloe Blacc cues the choir for “Hold on Tight.” It’s the third single from his forthcoming album “All Love Everything,” out Oct. 2.

TOUCHÉ AMORÉ, “I’ll Be Your Host”

■ On the heels of their July banger “Limelight,” the L.A. post-hardcore vets are back with the second single from their forthcoming fifth album, “Lament.” Not that the first single didn’t, but this one rips.

YOUNGBLOOD HAWKE, “Criminals”

■ On the heels of August’s single “Waking Up the World,” the L.A. pop quintet shouts down “the abuse of power in our society,” singer Sam Martin says. It’s the new single from their long-awaited sophomore album “Edge of the World,” out Oct. 9.

DREAMERS, “Teddy Bear”

■ On the heels of their first single of 2020, “Heat Seeker” (which took off like one), L.A. trio Dreamers — Nick Wold, Marc Nelson and Jacob Wick — have returned with the sappy/clever/kinda irresistible single “Teddy Bear.” Sings Wold: “I’m your teddy bear / You left me in your room / My button-eyes are falling out.” Awwwww.

IRESS, “Nest”

■ On the heels of their first two singles this year, “Underneath” and “Shamed,” the heavy-duty L.A. foursome of Michelle Malley, Alex Moreno, Michael Maldonado and Glenn Chu are back with “Nest,” the third single from their forthcoming album “Flaw” (out Sept. 18). Be immersed.
