■ Grammy-winning producer-songwriter-multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire Ricky Reed (Lizzo, Phantogram, Leon Bridges, Kesha, Halsey, Meghan Trainor, St. Panther) has been collaborating with artists during the quarantine and checking in live with them and fans over the past several months through his Nice Life label’s YouTube channel. Inevitably, a whole album’s worth was finished and the result, “The Room,” was released at the end of August, to great online fanfare with a “ROOM-AID LIVE” online release party. Catch the festivities below and check out the full album stream, with collaborations with Dirty Projectors, Terrace Martin, St. Panther, Lido Pimienta, Ayoni, Jim James (My Morning Jacket), Duendita and more. The project was released as a partnership with the Solutions Project to raise funds for Good Life Garden in Brooklyn, SCOPE in South Central Los Angeles, and Native Renewables in Navajo and Hopi reservations in Arizona and beyond. Donations made during any Nice Live broadcasts through the end of September will be matched up to $30,000. Catch them every Thursday at 8:30pm Pacific Time and subscribe here.
