News: Desert Stars Fest goes online; Billie Eilish to kick off new Grammy Museum series; plus, notable upcoming streams

■ The 12th edition of the Desert Stars Festival, which had been set for late March in Joshua Tree, is going online. The two-day affair, scheduled for Sept. 25 and 26, will feature Mercury Rev, Ringo Deathstarr, Pete International Airport, Ryley Walker, Alex Maas of the Black Angels, Spindrift, Wayne Everett, the Black Tapes, Velvet Starlings and more. It will stream free on Desert Stars’ YouTube page.

Billie Eilish and Finneas will kick off the Grammy Museum’s new subscription-only streaming service COLLECTION:live, which will feature a series of newly produced artist interviews and performances, as well as ephemera from the museum’s archives. The launch is Thursday, Sept. 17, and in addition to the multiple-Grammy-winning duo, the Avett Brothers, Black Pumas, Glass Animals, Selena Gomez, Run The Jewels and Tones And I are part of the programming.
