South Bay reggae-rock favorites Fortunate Youth treated a parking lot full of fans (and some live-streaming, too) to a concert Friday night that felt like a family affair at the Grove of Anaheim.

It was the first of two nights that the band, fronted by Dan Kelly and accented by a horn section, performed as part of the Drive-In OC series. Back in May, Fortunate Youth, now in their second decade, released the “Live From California” album, culling tracks from last fall’s “Live Life” tour.

SoCal roots-reggae outfit the Expanders opened the night.
