Kaskade’s Drive-In OC concert on Tuesday night at the City National Grove of Anaheim proved a weird and wonderful mix of EDM and baseball.

The superstar DJ/producer’s show, the sold-out opening night of his Road Trip tour, ran concurrently with Game 6 of the World Series featuring the Dodgers and the Tampa Bay Rays. Many in the crowd left their rave-wear at home and came dressed head-to-toe in Dodgers hats and jerseys. They monitored the game via their phones as the Rays took a 1-0 lead, the Dodgers came back to lead, 2-1, then 3-1.

By the ninth inning, Kaskade had the fans dancing off asphalt next to their cars as the Dodgers secured their first championship since 1988. As the game ended, the parking lot went nuts and Kaskade turned his lighting to blue, grabbing the mic and congratulating the Dodgers on their title.

Kaskade’s run of nights at the City National Grove of Anaheim continues tonight and Saturday.

Ravell and Lipless opened Tuesday’s show.

In other news, Kaskade today released the new single “Haunt Me,” a collaboration with L.A.’s the Moth & the Flame. Baseball season is over, Halloween season is in full tilt.
