The Natural History Museum (NHM) announced this year’s First Fridays series will remain pivoted safely online during the pandemic, programmed around the theme “Connected: Los Angeles at the Intersections.”  It kicks off tonight with KCRW DJ Novena Carmél, a cocktail demo by Elle Nucci, dublab’s Dr. Yewande Pearse hosting a panel “Solace in Science” (with Director of the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research Ninez A. Ponce, MPP, PhD and USC Keck School of Medicine multicultural epidemiologist Edward C. Jones-López, MD, MSc) as well as a performance by dreamy singer-songwriter Vagabon.

The program starts at 6 p.m. and is free with RSVP (museum members also get access to a preshow “Secrets from the Vault” Zoom with NHM’s Collections Manager of Invertebrate Paleontology, Lindsay Walker).

Future First Fridays Connected dates:

– March 5:  Home x Habitats
– April 2:  Climate Crisis
– May 7:  Culture x Cuisine
