Notes from a Pandemic (Feb. 26-28): Finneas, Jensen McRae, Joy Oladokun, Jackson Browne, D’Angelo, Talk Time, Sun Spin and more

Jensen McRae

ONLINE FINDS:

FINNEAS recently played a stripped down, acoustic version of his ever-poignant single “What They’ll Say About Us” for CBS show “The Talk.” The performance was directed by Arturo Perez Jr., produced by Alex D. Sanchez, shot by Drew Daniels and executive produced by Nina Soriano and Christophe “Chryde” Abric.

■ L.A. artist Jensen McRae beamed into 88.5 FM’s 88FIVE Live at Home series this week, talking with program director and afternoon DJ Mookie about finding her voice as a songwriter, growing up as a tunesmith, and her satirical but prescient hit “Immune,” which she performed, along with her song “Wolves.”

McRae also features in Joy Oladokun’s recently-released single “Wish You the Best,” which they cowrote together.
