Bonnaroo has announced the lineup for its 20th-anniversary festival, apparently optimistic that the shackles of the COVID-19 pandemic will be loosened enough to hold a major music event by early September.

The festival, Sept. 2-5 in Manchester, Tenn., 60 miles southwest of Nashville, will feature Tame Impala, Foo Fighters, Megan Thee Stallion, Lizzo, Lana Del Rey, Phoebe Bridgers and Tyler, the Creator, among many others. Many of the acts had been scheduled for Bonnaroo 2020, which was canceled. The festival, usually held in June, moves to Labor Day Weekend, ostensibly to give more time for the pandemic to dissipate.

Tickets, starting at $339 for a four-day general admission pass, went on sale today here.

Health and safety protocols are mentioned in the press release but not yet on the festival’s website. In the release, Bonnaroo organizers say:

“Throughout its 20-year history, Bonnaroo has evolved and innovated to make each and every event more enjoyable, with the safety of its fans, artists and staff a top priority. Bonnaroo organizers as always will be in regular communication with local health and public safety officials and will continue to abide by relevant recommendations. As it approaches, Bonnaroovians will receive regular updates with the important information needed to plan their trip to The Farm, including any changes to policies and procedures they’ll need to know before entering the festival and campgrounds.”

Updates will be available on the website and via the festival’s newsletter.
