Stream: Wavves, ‘Sinking Feeling’

Wavves have returned with their first new music since 2017, the Alex Gates-penned single “Sinking Feeling.”

The band also announced they have returned to Fat Possum Records, the label that released their 2010 third album, “King of the Beach.” There’s no announcement of a new album (yet) — it’s described as a taste of a forthcoming release from the band and producer Dave Sitek (TV on the Radio) — only a surf-inspired tune full of existential dread.

“‘Sinking Feeling’ is a song about a wave of depression that keeps coming back,” frontman Nathan Williams says. “It’s that sinking feeling that drags you down and no matter what you do or where you go it follows you.”
