St. Panther’s got “Problems,” but an inability to craft sweet R&B and hip-hop tunes ain’t one of them.

The singer-songwriter-producer, born Daniela Bojorges-Giraldo, returned this week with her first solo material since her EP, “These Days,” released a year ago, brought her deserved acclaim. In advance of her first New York headlining show next week, the self-described “nerdy-looking hip-hop artist” unveiled the sugary soul song “Problems” along with the rap track “Real Love Takes Time.”

“I was stolen by the way you say my name / watched all my problems fade away,” she sings on “Problems,” which arrives with a lyric video illustrated by her mother, painter Angela Giraldo.

“It’s beyond exciting to be sharing new music again,” St. Panther says of the release. “This year has felt like it’s been a lot about release and embracing the newness that comes with it. There’s been a bit of collective turbulence to arrive at that space of understanding why our obstacles had to become our neighbors on some days. Through it, I’d been sitting at the piano every morning, casting my own turbulence away/bringing in new seasons of my own. Right in the middle of it this song came about. I hope it helps bring in some peace and fresh air to anyone listening.”

Earlier this summer, St. Panther collaborated with Maryland artist McClenny on the tune “Kerosene” as well.
