A variety of vibes for your Friday: Rounding up new singles from Cosmo Gold, Jacklen Ro and Send Medicine

COSMO GOLD, “Let Go (Just a Little)”

The follow-up to their June single “Tuff Stuff,” “Let Go (Just a Little)” finds L.A. trio Cosmo Gold launching themselves into the cosmos on a rocketship fueled by caffeinated synths and percolating beats. It’s the second single from their forthcoming debut LP, “Krong” (out Nov. 11). For frontwoman Emily Gold, suddenly a prime candidate for alien abduction, “Let Go (Just a Little)” is an extraterrestrial bop that follows a family tradition. Her late father, the songwriter Andrew Gold (“Lonely Boy,” “Thank You for Being a Friend”), was obsessed with space and occult, as evidenced recently by his posthumous viral hit “Spooky, Scary Skeletons.” Cosmo Gold’s “Krongiverse” seems like a pretty fun place.

JACKLEN RO, “Side by Side”

Following up their folky June single “Time Bomb,” Jacklen Ro (Jackie Giroux and Caelen Perkins) are back with another sanguine single, “Side by Side.” Out via Lolipop Records, it’s exemplary of the indie-pop duo’s sharp songwriting and unvarnished emotion — i.e., these people could charm graffiti off a wall. Perkins of says the track: “It’s about loving someone from a distance with plans of being together one day and until death.”

SEND MEDICINE, “Checking In”

Psychedelic folk maestros Send Medicine are introducing their fourth album, “Mata Hari Honey” (out Aug. 12) with the song “Checking In,” which is what laid-back would feel like if it were more laid-back. Or, maybe, Kurt Vile in slow motion. The album is the follow-up to last year’s “By Telepathy & Reputation.” Meanwhile, Fish Woman meets Bird Man in the video directed by frontman Julian Hacquebard. Send Medicine will perform along with Communicant and Windows on Aug. 12 at the Goldfish. Tickets.
