Iggy Pop’s new album “Every Loser” arrives Jan. 6. And the 75-years-young rocker — who was forced to cancel his Desert Daze appearance last fall because visa problems fouled the travel plans of his French backing band — has announced two Los Angeles shows this spring.

The dates, April 20 at the Regent Theater and April 27 at the Palladium (along with one in San Francisco and one in Las Vegas), will mark the debut of his new band, Iggy Pop & the Losers, featuring Andrew Watt, Chad Smith and Duff McKagan.

The album was made with with a cast including McKagan, Smith, Travis Barker, Taylor Hawkins, Josh Klinghoffer, Stone Gossard, Chris Chaney, Dave Navarro and Eric Avery. “Every Loser” was introduced in late October with the explosive single “Frenzy,” and today brought the second taste of the new record, “Strung Out Johnny.”
