Morgan Paros’ resumé includes stints playing with L.A artists such as Ashe, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, Hunter Hunted, Sanglorians and Wartime Recitals, as well as working as an arranger and player of strings for a host of luminaries.

Today she steps out as a solo artist with the single “Last Straw,” a buoyant, propulsive pop-rocker that brings to mind artists such as MUNA and Maggie Rogers. “Talk is cheap when you’re running / Your mouth through the middle / Show me proof and I’ll trust you in time,” she sings in a vibrant tune about cutting through the blah-blah-blah of the world.

“This song is about finding refuge in yourself despite the chaos or chatter around you, having courage live alongside questioning,” she says. “It’s about centering on what lights you up in a world where there might not be any light posts to guide you.”

The song, the first of several she plans to release this year, was made with her longtime partner, Grammy-winning producer-enginner Jeremy Hatcher.
